The tonal motif evident in this collection is inspired by the mesmerising hues of the inland salt lakes that straddle the Clare Valley and Yorke Peninsula regions.

In Salt Lake Sonata, Alicia presents a stylised landscape of exquisite tones, illuminated by a concentrated pink algae bloom that thrives in inhospitable environments. Contrasting white salt crusts, clay and mineral deposits give the landscape an intoxicating colour.
