Artist Statement of Copyright
The Artist, (Alicia Pickert Studio), rights are protected under copyright law of Australia, which defines the legally enforceable rights of creators of creative and artistic works under Australian law. The scope of copyright in Australia is defined in the Copyright Act 1968 (as amended), which applies the national law throughout Australia.
Purchase of a copyright artwork does not transfer the copyright. The copyright to produce the works in copies, to produce derivative work based on the copy writ image and distribute copies is fully retained by the Artist. Any transfer of this copyright must be in writing expressly identifying what rights are being sold and for what purpose.
Any unauthorised reproduction or commercial use is in violation of copyright law. Works of art cannot be modified without the permission of the artist. Works cannot be distributed, mutilated or modified in any way that would prejudice the good reputation of the Artist.
The Artist reserves the right to create printed reproductions of her original works for sale.
Enforcement of copyright
The Artist takes the protection of copyright seriously.
If the Artist discovers that you have used her copyright materials in contravention of the license set out in this notice, she may bring legal proceedings against you, seeking monetary damages and/or an injunction to stop you using those materials. You could also be ordered to pay legal costs.
