Collection Overview

The Southern Sunsets collection contains compositions revealing the final fleeting moments of day, where impossibly beautiful shorelines shimmer with incandescent colours, sands glossy from from the waves’ caress.

Reference for the collection comes from summer evenings spent admiring South Australia’s most resplendent shorelines, from Henley Beach to the Fleurieu Peninsula, Whyalla to the Nullabor, Beachport to Riverland. 

The visual dexterity of colour and it’s complexity at sundown adds to the depth of each piece. Theatrical, vibrant combinations of terracotta, peach, pastel magenta, claret, amber and violet saturate each work, forming against a backdrop of cornflower blue, sapphire and cerulean.
