About:

Opalescent Oasis is an original work in the Salt Lake Sonata collection.

In this work, Alicia references the summertime shores of South Australia’s Lake Bumbunga, presenting a stylised landscape of vivid hues. 

The lake, ablaze with a pink algae bloom, is captured in warm blended tones of golden orange and fiery fuchsia, with soft touches of lilac and blush pink. Contrasting white salt crusts, clay and mineral deposits harmonise in gentle gradients, across the work.
