Paint and Pour - Children’s School Holiday Workshop (Ages 7-16)

About:

This fun, hands-on workshop lets kids explore colour and creativity through fluid art! Guided by an experienced and qualified teacher, children will learn exciting pour-painting techniques, experiment on small practice canvases, and then create their own masterpiece on a square or round canvas to proudly take home.

To promote a focused and independent learning environment, we require that parents/carers do not remain in the classroom during art sessions, instead enjoy a walk in the botanical gardens or wind down at the cafe. Students can enjoy this activity under the supervision of the qualified teacher.

Places are limited to 12, so secure your spot early.

Price:  $75.00 per person (includes all art supplies and light refreshments)

Venue: Multi-Purpose Room, Cairns Botanical Gardens Visitors Centre, Collins Ave, Edge Hill

Venue Opens: 10:00am - 12:30pm

Duration: 2.5hrs

 

Please note:

- Limited number of square and round canvas creation options available, first in, first served.

- Childrens/Teens Only workshop is for ages 7-16. - Your artwork will need to remain at the venue to dry overnight, collection will be the following morning (Friday 26th September 8:30am - 10:30am) from the venue. If you are unable to collect it yourself please arrange to have someone collect it for you.

- Only ticketed participants will be permitted access to our event, please do not bring spectators with you.

Fees 

Full payment of the course fees upon booking is required in order to secure your place. Places cannot be reserved without full payment. 

Cancellations and Refunds

If you’re unable to attend a workshop/ class due to illness or personal reasons please let us know within 7-days for a full refund or we can offer a transfer to a class at a later date, depending on availability.

Please note that workshops/classes have minimum attendance levels and may be cancelled if too few bookings are received.  We reserve the right to amend or cancel any of our workshops or classes.

If we cancel a workshop or class, we shall endeavour to give you at least one week’s notice. You will have the option of transferring to another workshop or class or having a full refund of the fees, which we will return to you within 7 days.

We will not be liable for any losses (including, but not limited to, travel and accommodation costs) arising as a consequence of any modification or cancellation of workshops/classes or timetabling constraints as set out above, beyond the cost of the course fee. Please note that refunds can take up to 7 days to process.

Health and Safety  

Attendees are expected to follow Health and Safety guidelines that are given at the start of each workshop/class.

Attendees are asked to wear appropriate clothing and footwear during the course, all PPE will be provided.

Allergies

We provide light refreshments at our workshops.  Please make us aware of any food intolerances or allergies upon booking your workshop.

Liability

By purchasing this course you agree to release ‘Alicia Pickert Studio’ from all liability relating to injuries that may occur during their Paint and Pour Workshops and agree to hold ‘Alicia Pickert Studio’ entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence. You also acknowledge the risks involved in their Paint and Pour Workshop and you are participating voluntarily.  Additionally, you do not have any conditions that will increase the likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in this activity. By purchasing this course you forfeit all right to bring a suit against ‘Alicia Pickert Studio’ for any reason. In return, you will receive skills in pouring and fluid painting using acrylic paints.
