About:

Shimmering Shores is an original work in the Sentimental Sandscapes Collection. Alicia captures fragments of childhood spent in the rocky coastal hamlets of South Australia’s Limestone Coast. 

The coastal terrain of South End, Cullen Bay and Penguin Island serve as inspiration and reference for this piece.  Fond memories of time spent in the region prompted Alicia to pause and reflect on the interplay between stability and transience, strength and delicacy - eventually finding the vibrancy that resides in even the harshest of landscapes.

Shimmering Shores is dynamic in composition, amplified by grounding, rich earthy tones. Radiant accents meander across the canvas, reminiscent of sunlight striking the rocky outcrops.
