About:

Cliffside Contemplation is an original work inspired by the experience of standing on the edge of South Australia’s dramatic cliffs, gazing out at the energetic motion of southern ocean currents in their most captivating and chaotic state. Moonlit waves swirled around the silhouettes of scattered rocks, enhancing the movement of water rushing towards the shore.

At the edge of these rugged cliffs, the world seemed to fall away and Alicia was left alone with her thoughts. In Cliffside Contemplation, Alicia employs a captivating colour palette of deep indigo and periwinkle blue to evoke the power of crashing waves amid a tempestuous sea. Vivid flashes of frothy whites punctuate the composition.
